Green Tea - Spaces+Places: Album Sampler

Today I share a VERY special treat with you all. Not too long ago I was surfing the web and stumbled over this masterpiece (no exaggeration) from DJ/Producer Green Tea hailing from the Bay Area. Though the release of his album, Spaces+Places (8/09), slipped past me last year, I'm not kicking myself for it. Instead I'm taking the "better late than never" approach because, well, the album is just that damn good! This album jams nonstop from beginning to end, raising the bar for the Acid Jazz genre and genres alike. Find out what it is that has got me soaring on cloud 9 by listening to the album sampler I have posted above. Follow the links below to buy his album Spaces+Places and also to visit his myspace page.

Erykah Badu Ft. Lil Wayne & Bilal - "Jump Up In The Air (Staye There)"

I can't get enough of this cut right here! This was definitely a collaboration I didn't see coming, but it couldn't have been better. The beat is DOPE, the hook is addicting, and Wayne spits a verse that will need repeating as always. Erykah really out did herself on this cut here, and this is only the beginning. She said that this song has 9 other versions featuring various emcees so be on the look out for updates to come. Be sure to cop the album New Amerykah Part 2: Return Of The Ankh when it drops on the 30th of next month. Enjoy the video!

Res - "Golden Boys"

I was listening to this CD today so it was only right that I post the video. This song was one of my favorites that was featured on her debut album How I Do. You might remember Res from her previous project that I posted awhile back titled Black Girls Rock along with her affiliation in the group Idle Warship (Talib Kweli, Graph Nobel). Check the video, leave a comment.
